Celso Yok Chan - Meditation
Celso Yok Chan, painted as one prays. His beautiful young wife, Beth, was sick. And Celso made a prayer with drawings, colours and figures that refer to childhood. The young Chan chose light to adjure the dark presence of Death. In this work, who faces that funeral threat is not the sword of a warrior. It is the scribbles almost childish that convert Death into a play game, in a ritual that belongs more to Life than to the definitive absence. The greatest value of this exhibition is the truth of its language, it is the courage of this meditation. It is Love.
